Rainbow Nursery Group

Rainbow Nursery Group (RNG) is a voluntary organisation established in 2001 by Islamic Forum of Europe women's section.

The aims and objectives of RNG are to provide the necessary facilities for daily care, development and education of children of pre-school ages. It also aims to provide necessary Islamic education and training to those who are responsible for the provision of such development and education.

Since its inception, the group has been trying to establish a full-time Muslim nursery, but is yet to succeed due to factors such as venue and funds. Things now look promising and Rainbow is set to locate to a purpose built venue at the London Muslim Centre.

The RNG has successfully organised mothers and toddler's sessions, playgroup and summer schemes. It's first playgroup opened in May 2001. From January 2002 it has been running continuously for four days a week from 11am - 3pm. Please note that Rainbow is not a registered nursery but are operating as a mothers and toddlers group. However, there are qualified staff dedicated to providing early years education in an Islamic environment incorporating Arabic, Qur'an and Islamic studies.

If you wish to send your child to RNG or have any general queries please call 020 7650 3055 / 07764 292 319 and ask to speak to a Management Committee member of RNG.

Never have I witnessed such sincere hospitality and overwhelming spirit of true brotherhood as is practiced by people of all colors and races here in this ancient Holy Land, the home of Abraham, Muhammad and all the other Prophets of the Holy Scriptures. For the past week, I have been utterly speechless and spellbound by the graciousness I see displayed all around me by people of all colors.
    The Essence of Hajj
The significance of Hajj as a pillar of Islam is quite evident from the reward this act of worship brings to its performer. As has been reported from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the person performing the Hajj is forgiven and purified as if he/she is a newborn baby. Although its importance and formalities are generally known and talked about, its essence, spirit, and impact on a performer?s behavior and personality are not generally understood or remembered.
